FOREIGN ENGLISH TEACHER EXCHANGE

​TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS

All Teacher Candidates Must Be:
  • Fluent in Spanish, French or Mandarin Chinese
  • Certified by their local, state or national teaching board
  • Have at least (1) year previous experience teaching ENGLISH
  • Pursuing an Elementary or Secondary degree in ENGLISH at an accredited 2 or 4-year U.S. college or university


All Scholarship Recipients Must:
  • Complete a 2-year degree in 30 months or less or 4-year degree in 54 months or less
  • Maintain a 3.25 GPA
  • Be willing to provide up to 4 hours per week to assist with Spanish, French or Mandarin Chinese curriculum review/development
  • Commit to teaching ENGLISH for (2) years in their NATIVE COUNTRY upon completion of their U.S. studies/degree
  • Maintain all rules associated with the F-1 Visa, including no off campus employment and enroll in a full-time (12 credit hour minimum) course load
