Online Language Camp
ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL

For students that are new or have previous experience learning French or Spanish or Mandarin Chinese.
Our program focuses on developing vocabulary, reading and writing skills in all students.
Students will have the opportunity to pick and tailor activities that interest them, so they stay engaged, while expanding their French or Chinese or Spanish language skills.
CGR Academy Online - INCLUDES:
Teacher Led. small group (1:5 maximum) student sessions
2 days per week - Monday - Tuesday - $100 per student ($200 per session)
3 days per week - Monday - Wednesday - $150 per student ($300 per session)
Morning or Afternoon Sessions:
K - 2nd Grade - 9:00am - 11:00am OR 1:00pm - 3:00pm
3rd - 8th Grade - 9:00am - 12:00pm OR 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Reading/Writing:
- Reading Club (K-5) – Fun, interactive books that focus on site words and developing reading/comprehension skills.
- Reading Club (6-8th) – Classic language books (i.e. – Le Petit Prince) that will be read, discussed and have writing assignments due via SeeSaw.
Summer Slide:
- Grade level English language arts and math classes to maintain and improve academic skills.
Pronunciation and Fun:
- Cooking – Parents will receive a shopping list at least 2 days before class. Students will enjoy reading and writing the menu, then cooking a treat (must have parent support or be old enough to safely use their home kitchen and cooking utensils).
- Show and Tell – Share items based on the teacher assigned topic that you found outside or inside your house (all items must be approved by parent before they can be shared).
- Guess the sound or song – Listen carefully and be ready to guess the sound or song the teacher plays
- Going places – National/World geography – find the assigned location and be ready to present the details to your teacher and class.
- Clue – Can you share all the details to describe the scene and character to solve a crime?
- Act Out – Think fast and show what you know! Combination of speaking, writing or movement to demonstrate knowledge of vocabulary.
- Yoga – How do you say Namaste in Spanish? French? Chinese? NAMASTE!! Show your knowledge of the language as you stretch and relax, while following directions in the target language.
- Painting/Art Lessons – Listen carefully and follow along with your CGR language teacher to create your own masterpiece.
- 21 Questions – Ask and answer questions to guess the secret word. You can only ask 21 questions before you have to guess, so choose wisely!
